Privacy
This site has no accounts, no adverts and no analytics, and it sets no cookies. You can read every lesson without giving us anything; a lesson's worksheet is emailed to you.
The site is run by Byte Projects Ltd (see the legal notice), which is responsible for any personal data described here.
Videos
Each lesson's video is shown behind its own picture. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; then the video plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to it.
If you join the email list, we keep your email address, the level you chose (if any), and a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, when, the page you signed up on, and the IP address and browser you used to sign up and to confirm. We use them only to send you Spanish with Clara's emails: the confirmation, a welcome, then that week's new lessons once a week, and occasional news about Spanish with Clara courses.
We do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: every email has an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect at once. Our emails don't track whether you open them or which links you click.
The emails are sent by Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC, in the USA), which handles your address only to deliver them, under a data processing agreement that covers transfers outside the UK. The sign-up and worksheet forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you're not a bot; it loads only once you start filling a form in.
We keep your details while you're on the list. After you leave, we keep your address and consent record for up to six years, only to show what you agreed to and that we stopped, then delete them.
Worksheets
When you ask for a worksheet, we email the link to the address you give and keep a record of the request: the address, which worksheet, when, and your IP address. We use it only to send you that worksheet and to limit how many one address can have in a day. You join the email list only if you tick its box and confirm. Opening the link saves a small key in your browser's storage (not a cookie), so your next worksheets download from their pages without another email; press "Use a different email" or clear your browser's storage to remove it. We delete worksheet records after a year.
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Servers
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web server, ours and Cloudflare's see your IP address and keep short technical logs to run and protect the service; we use them for nothing else.
